"I want to go on a mountain-top with a radio and good batteries, play a joyous tune..."

The world scares me, it really does.
I hate the news, it drives the negative into everyone's homes.
I'm sure I'm not alone in this...

On a lighter note, I've noticed something quite amusing at work.
Where I am stationed at my most recent store (for those of you that don't know, I have a part-time job selling wireless phones in various stores), there is a display of video cameras. One is usually turned on and is projected on a TV above the display.
It's really amusing to watch how customers react to this.

The adults don't alway notice it, but the children nearly always do. They run right up to it and dance around, wave, stick out their tongues, move the camera to point at their siblings or friends, etc. It's so much fun to watch.

The adults usually walk right past without a clue, or unknowingly have their head in close-up on the screen while they look at the various cameras. If they do notice, they generally point the camera somewhere else, usually at their kids. Of course, there is the occasional adult who has fun with the camera, too.

It saddens me that the world hardens people so much that they can't enjoy little stuff like that.
