This has been a hot (maybe it's just the overheating laptop on my lap), wasted day.
Yesterday his sister and I went shopping and grabbed some dinner together in Taunton. We are going to a birthday party for Craig (Sondra's two-year old) tomorrow and we wanted to get gifts for him and for Sondra (in honor of her graduation).
Josh was a bit intimidated by us making plans to get together without him. Lol. Not sure if he was worried more about us plotting against him in some way or if we would encourage each other to spend all our money (neither of which actually occurred).
She did say a bunch that she wants nieces and nephews. I think that Josh and I are pretty much in agreement about when that will occur (not for a few years), so he doesn't need to worry much about that. I just joked about how the poor kids would be confused by the two aunt Julia's. We also browsed a bit at a jeweler. hehe.
We both only spent about $20 on stuff for ourselves. We decided to pool our money for the gifts. I'm sure it will be a little funny to see something signed 'Lauren & Julia' without it referring to me and my sister. We bought her a plush Eeyore dressed in a cap & gown (she is a Winnie-the-Pooh fanatic), and bought a big toy dump-truck filled with beach toys for Craig. We also bought a couple of floaty toy boats. Julia had already bought a couple of swim trunks for him, so we added that to the gift.
I guess we're ordering food tonight instead of going out. Fine with me.
One of these local places offers "lite tuna" (= less mayo), but every time I order it they say that they've already run out, so I always resort to a salad. hmph. oh well.
